The College of Marin came to us (Tactix Creative) to design their “Mariner" school mascot. They expressed the desire for a more comprehensive and competitive athletic identity... We combined a new sea-faring palette with an entire family of marks incorporating breaking waves, a stern ship captain, distinctive typography, tossed sea textures and a trident spear. This library of bold imagery gave them all the components they needed for an extremely strong, flexible and competitive collegiate identity. (The work presented here was a proposal, and not adopted by The College Of Marin.)
